Campo: NCFP is doing well

That great old man of RP chess, Florencio Campomanes, has given his blessing to the current leadership of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines. Quoted by ABS-CBN, Campo says, "Pichay’s firm leadership and clear-cut policies are what we need right now to boost local chess, which stagnated in the past few years".

In this longish report, Campomanes even takes a little swipe at the trio of Paragua, Torre and Antonio who missed the Doha Eliminations event in an apparent protest against the use of the Swiss system.

We also learn that a book is due out. It will be called The FIDE Years: Now It’s My Turn.

CAMPO'S LEADERSHIP: STAGNANT YEARS FOR PHILIPPINE CHESS. ENDED HIS CAREER FITTINGLY AS A CONVICTED FELON.

Campo had misled people all his life for his self aggrandizing and enriching goals. The truth is he is a convicted felon who stole millions of pesos from the Philippines, as well as from FIDE.
That is why the Philippine GM's do not respect him, and that is his reason why he is back stabbing them.

His real reputation in the international chess community is that of a crook and swindler. Let the Filipino people and the world know the truth.

During his "50 years" reign besides GM's Torre and Balinas, only GM Antonio made the cut. That is a dismal record for Philippine chess in any book compared to India and China.

yeah, I agree, anything against Campo, THE CROOK!!! Can't stand the sleez, it's time everybody knew the truth.

He's only good at walking around like an arrogant peacock, and trying to intimidate people.

Honorary FIDE President...huh...what a joke!!!

Should have locked him up years ago, and thrown away the keys!!!

Who really cares what Campo has to say, or what he thinks!
