Trent Parker Reversal

NSWCA Councilman Trent Parker seems to have changed his mind. The link to his post below under "Honest Trent" is resulting in a 404 (Page Not Found error). It was there this morning but Mr Parker's removed it saying, "I do admit that i shouldn't have posted that post, and have pulled it down in the time being, until i get updated on what was discussed in last nights meeting."

I wouldn't blame Mr Parker too much. Mr Parker has no doubt been under enormous preesure from Bill Gletsos to delete his post. At least Trent had the guts to post (say) something that probably the majority of NSWCA Councillors also feel.

Bill now seems to be abusing his authority as NSWCA President to carry out a personal vendetta. I hear that Matthew Sweeney contributed much to the social life at last year's Doeberl, and even bought free drinks for everyone at these social occasions. The near two year ban on Sweeney is absurd in the context of what he has done.

We need someone like Jason Lyons as President! Jason Lyons as President and Peter Parr as Vice President would have fixed NSW chess for the better, I am sure. NSW chess' two saviours Lyons and Parr must be very disillusioned with NSW chess at the moment, considering that some of the people on NSWCA Council such as Bird, Moylan and Charles are only there because of Jason's initiative, and these so called friends of Jason Lyons have sided with Bill Gletsos by deciding to be part of NSWCA Council instead of sticking by their friend, Jason Lyons, over the shonky manouevering of Gletsos at the AGM.

See my earlier post "Honest Trent". I quoted the most important bits.
