This just in.
"Dunnygate" has erupted in the currently ongoing Aussie Open championships. We have just been advised by FM Brett Tindall that a player was caught red handed with what he described as a "hand held machine". It would seem that this player visited the men's toilet no less than six times during the course of a game!
In Australia's numero uno chess bulletin board, Chess Chat, NSWCA boss Bill Gletsos says that the player was expelled, he appealed and the appeal unanimously denied by the appeals committee.
Thanks to FM Tindall for sending us this specially annotated PGN.

Let's not mince words. I'm well beyond the jurisdiction. White was Cedric Koh (1376). Black was Edward Naoumov (1483). Black seems to be a rather inefficient cheat - in the final position White is not worse.
maybe there should be a special symbol for 'visit toilet' like there is for 'zugzwang'.
thank you to brett for his in depth annotations :)
what kind of handheld was it?
As noted by Laura Moylan in Chess Chat, the annotations were actually written by Cedric's dad.
And according to Lousy, the device was a Chess Master.

On what grounds did he appeal? This sort of thing is really not very pleasant. Now all his previous opponents will (rightly or wrongly) assume they have been cheated. It created a climate of suspicion.
Also there is the question of what should happen to the results of games where he cheated people. After all they have been paired since then as if they lost those games so someone is treated unfairly in the tournament even though he has been evicted.
I assume he will be banned (by the ASCF) for a period of time. He is quite young (a junior) apparantly. Hopefully he learns a lesson from this and if he returns to play again he is better for it.
Nobody benefits from this.
Who was watching him in toilet? is it part of arbiters' job?
Let's get one thing straight. To date, there is no suggestion, that I know of, from either the event organisers or the NSWCA that Naumov relied on external assistance in his other games.

LMAO
That is freaking hilarious.
"handheld"?
I remember the English golfing pundit talking about a particular golfer with an unusual grip and saying that he hadn't seen a grip quite like that since they had knocked down the toilet blocks behind King's Cross Station...
