To date, there is no suggestion, that I know of, from either the event organisers or the NSWCA that Naumov relied on external assistance in his other games.

- TCGThe Closet Grandmasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17680425849888374045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-7863544587916589732009-01-08T20:48:00.000+09:002009-01-08T20:48:00.000+09:00Who was watching him in toilet? is it part of arbi...Who was watching him in toilet? is it part of arbiters' job?Michael Baronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15632409897638796216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-75585466109049837222009-01-08T12:07:00.000+09:002009-01-08T12:07:00.000+09:00On what grounds did he appeal? It created a climate of suspicion.

Also there is the question of what should happen to the results of games where he cheated people. After all they have been paired since then as if they lost those games so someone is treated unfairly in the tournament even though he has been evicted.

I assume he will be banned (by the ASCF) for a period of time. He is quite young (a junior) apparantly. Hopefully he learns a lesson from this and if he returns to play again he is better for it.

Nobody benefits from this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-91566807830082234672009-01-08T10:06:00.000+09:002009-01-08T10:06:00.000+09:00As noted by Laura Moylan in Chess Chat, the annota...As noted by Laura Moylan in Chess Chat, the annotations were actually written by Cedric's dad.

And according to Lousy, the device was a Chess Master.

- TCGThe Closet Grandmasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17680425849888374045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-65722393660772297292009-01-08T09:50:00.001+09:002009-01-08T09:50:00.001+09:00what kind of handheld was it?what kind of handheld was it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-55150276888686322962009-01-08T09:50:00.000+09:002009-01-08T09:50:00.000+09:00thank you to brett for his in depth annotations :)...thank you to brett for his in depth annotations :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-31155082048146271092009-01-08T03:35:00.000+09:002009-01-08T03:35:00.000+09:00maybe there should be a special symbol for 'visit ...maybe there should be a special symbol for 'visit toilet' like there is for 'zugzwang'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14539885.post-58243321375669168682009-01-07T20:05:00.000+09:002009-01-07T20:05:00.000+09:00Let's not mince words. Black seems to be a rather inefficient cheat - in the final position White is not worse.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
