To be honest, I really haven't had the head space to think chess over the last couple of days. As you can perhaps imagine it's been terribly hectic over here. Aftershocks occur almost every hour, although, thankfully, most are barely felt. This morning, however, at about 10AM Tokyo time, a 6.2 struck the city. Quite mild but it had enough thrust to shake my apartment.
Other than aftershocks there is the threat of a nuclear meltdown. I try not to think too much about that.
Anyway, to all my fans, I'm sure you bastards are worried about me, I just wanted to say that I'm perfectly alright.

It's good to know you're safe :-)
very good news to hear you have survived the many shocking disasters (Earthquake, Tidal wave, Volcano , Nuclear melt-down) sadly effecting Japan.
We are worried for you :)
Leo went to chuch to pray 4ur safety dude. It's good to hear that ur ok.
It`s time to pack up and leave.Town Hall chess club missed you,my dear friend :-)
Everyone on OzChess is pulling for you Closet Grandmaster. We didn't quite understand your decision to go to Japan in the first place, but we definitely want you back safe and sound.
Bobby Fischer's private papers may still be in Japan. you must rescue them and get them to safety.
Take care and prepare to evacuate, if the need arises.
A couple of points....
To be spam it has to be a commercial email. I think you could argue that the email is not commercial as it's not trying to sell you anything.. but I'm not a lawyer.
Tornelo seems to be a hot topic on Chess Chat after Ballarat. As a chess journalist one would have thought that you may be interested in it for that reason. It may even turn out to be the most important advance in Australian chess for many years.
My magazine "Knight Times" is not for beginners but for all the juniors who play through Chess Kids. Our other magazine "On the Move" is directed to club players but if you don't want to receive a copy then I'm sure David would be happy to remove you from the mailing list.
I have nothing to do with the distribution of these magazines by the way. Hope you are coping OK in Japan. Obviously you are having a stressful time.
It must be very worrying over there in Tokyo, TCG. What a terrible time for Japan. If you haven't decided to leave, I hope that you remain safe.
Hope you're ok in Japan
Here's something to cheer you up: http://www.openculture.com/2011/03/chess_history_in_claymation.html
Amiel, get your ass out of there. Nuclear radiation plus chess is no joke. Forget about those kinky Japs whom you frequent nightly.
