Brits Are Off

IM Gary Lane is off to a good start in the British. He beat 2209-rated Martin Burrows in round one and will face GM Peter Wells in round 2. It was a good quick win for the Australian in the first round.

Also winning his first game is GM Gawain Jones. The friendly English grandmaster has been relaxing around Malaysia and Thailand recently that he should be in good shape!
