Another Draw for So

The Bad Wiessee website is never quickly updated, so for the moment all we can report is that IM Wesley So has scored another draw with a grandmaster, this time against Stelios Halkias of Greece.

Other Pinoy results to follow later.

On that note, we should say a big welcome to a bunch of Pinoy boxing fans who seemed to have found their way to this blog. These guys are also big fans of Wesley, actually - so at least we can give you guys some good news this morning.

Well, how about introducing them to the new official website of NCFP:
www.ncfphilippines.org or
www.nationalchessfederationofthephilippines.com where it now has a FORUM section. http://www.ncfphilippines.org/yabb//YaBB.pl.

Wesley should have enough for the GM norm.

I thought he had good attacking chances the Greek GM Stelios H.

The other Pinoys specially Darwin Laylo are also in the hunt for the prizes and GM norms.

Yes! GM norm for Wesley! So have snatched that GM norm, actually he can even afford to lose that round 8 game provided that he is paired with a 2500+ opponent on round 9, But since that (situation) will not be clear and systematic pairings cannot be dictated, a draw would be more of an assurance. IM Dmaxx lose his GM norm bid, and so is Gonzales and Gomez.
