Today, Aussie junior Raymond Song scored a massive upset by beating New Zealander, IM Russell Dive. There was excitement around the table during the game's last few moments. GM Rogers and Ray's mother, as well as other spectators, stood around the table in excitement. Both players were on the edges of a win or loss - all that mattered was an accurate move. Ultimately, it was Song who prevailed when Dive failed to spot a crucial Bishop check.
This is a fantastic win for the young Australian and even I couldn't contain myself. Amidst all that silence I had to clap.
